The unusual blade uses a concave shape to increase the cutting ability and creates a modern aggressive shape. The handle is wrapped in real ray skin (same) and black leather ito. This knife has a 6.5 inch blade and overal length of 12.5 inches. The sheath is fitted kydex with a textured leather covering. The blade is hand forged and clay tempered with a gunome (wave) hamon. The hamon do not show up well in the photos. The handle is wrapped with real ray skin same and leather ito. The handle is very comfortable and emphasized by high quality menuki. The overall quality is superb.

Cobra fighting knife
The Cobra Fighting Knife custom designed by David Decker instructor at White Shadow Dojo and crafted by Brent Sandow, of Auckland, New Zealand. The Cobra is specifically designed for close range self-defense, or offense, purposes. Tactical Knives featured this knife on its Custom Tacticals page. Overall length is eight and a half inches, with the four and a half inch blade made of Swedish semi-stainless steel. The back edge of the blade is fully sharpened with aggressive teeth for trapping and passing an attacker's arm. The uniquely curved handle is suitable for forward or reverse grip and nestles comfortably in the palm of the hand. The handle scales are black micarta with grooves to improve grip retention. The Cobra includes a pancake style low-profile leather sheath. This knife easily fits behind the pistol magazine holder on your weak-hand side. This makes it an ideal location for access should you be in a struggle to retain or access your weapon. A new blade finish is now available in black. Custom made by Brent Sandow of Auckland, NZ, the Mini-Viper has an ergonomically shaped 4.5 inch handle with grey micarta scales grooved for better weapon retention. The scales are epoxied and secured with countersunk screws. The full tang knife has a 5 inch blade with integral guard and thumb ramp. The blade is gun-coted with a black scratch resistant finish. You will not find a better fighting knife than a Sandow Viper or mini-Viper. Each knife comes with a fitted kydex sheath with belt loop.

Viper Fighting Knife
Custom made by Brent Sandow of Auckland, NZ, the mid-size Viper sports a 5.5 inch double edged blade with integral guard and thumb ramp. Blue/grey micarta scales are epoxied and screwed to a full tang with extended skull crusher. Handle length on this knife is 5 inches. Mid and full sized Vipers are ground from ¼ inch stock. The blade is gun-coted with a black scratch resistant finish. You will not find a better fighting knife than a Sandow Viper or mini-Viper. Each knife comes with a fitted kydex sheath with belt loop.
