Learn the basics of working with and defending against edged
weapons. Topics covered include basic grips, stances, timing,
distancing, using inside and outside lines, stepping using triangles,
basic methods of entering, flow drills to develop weapons handling
skills, and many other concepts.

This September 18-19 we'll be hosting two full days of training in
the Bowie knife here in Ithaca, NY with the theme of “classical
techniques and modern applications”.
This will not be a history lesson, but instead a dynamic course in

We will cut through the myths and misinformation that have
grown up around the Bowie and show how this uniquely
American tool of survival can work for you simply and
scientifically. This is a condensed course that makes you good
